Honest opinion needed please.
Hired a handyman to frame out/drywall and existing door opening. I believe the existing wall was double 5/8” and he used 2 sheets one half inch. Rather than shim it out, he opted to try to build it up and float it out. What’s my best course of action on this repair? Sand down/tape/mud and retexture?
